Preface

This website reports on an investigation of methods for measuring the efficiency and the risk associated with electric power utilization in business. The investigation focusses on four questions:

• comparing power utilization efficiency between similar businesses
• how can we reduce power costs
• how can we assess the risks associated with power outages
• How can we reduce the risks associated with power outages

This investigation assumes that basic measures such as cumulative kWh usage are available as a time series. Tools are provided to upload this data over the Web, to analyze the data, and to report over the Web.

The initial investigation is based on more than 30 such time-series data sets from Canadian and US locations.
