Perception of gravity is used by the skill to modify the action



Walking up or down a slope illustrate how a skill might use the perception of gravity to adjust joint angles for walking.

- keeping the same motion and angles would not work

- Leaning the whole body would fit the feet to the slope but cause the walker to fall over

Instead, the front leg is lifted further through the hip joint.
