5.3.1 Assumptions about information storage and retrieval to support learning
Memory / Learning involves private information. It increases the likelihood of successful action
- There is no machine that can 'read' what we know
Action is improved by utilizing the memory of past actions, the memory of past perceptions, and the memory of past feelings
- The pattern and sequence of action must be remembered
- The perceptions and the outcome (feelings) from the action must be remembered
- We must be able to find patterns of action that led to the desired outcome
- We must be able to repeat the pattern and sequence of action that was successful in the past
