Strategy for answering the questions

I see the concept of skills as a pivot point in the investigation that leads to three further questions:

• What are skills, what do they do, and how did they get here?
• How do skills work?
• What role do skills play in answering questions about language comprehension and about bridging the natural sciences and the social sciences?
