1.3.2 Representing an information processing model in the search space

To have a credible entry for a model or representation for the information processing of individuals of a species in the search space discussed above, we need to meet three criteria.

The first is to design and build a working model that is competent to do the information processing required by individuals of that species, within the constraints imposed by that species. For instance, there may be limits on the acuity of the visual information obtainable through the eyes (sensors). There may be limits on the range of motions obtainable with the muscle and limb combination for that species (and actuators).

The second is to have that model be more feasible for individuals of that species than other competing models.
