Action as animated transitions between poses

The simplest and most basic component of action is a movement of a limb relative to another limb via a rotation about a joint.

We shall demonstrate with a forward and back rotation of the upper leg about the hip joint, using the sideways pose.

We shall also demonstrate with a sideways rotation of the upper arm about the shoulder joint, using the frontal pose.
